First Kiss
I had never felt before that day,
a love so intense yet sweet;
Your face seem to bloom as a flower,
our hearts fit like a puzzle complete.
My eyes turned near a deathly shut,
my mind wouldn’t walk away;
And when we kissed, our first kiss,
my knees began to sway.
The color of red rushed to my cheeks,
my heart pounded in my chest;
My palms began to quiver and sweat,
as my lips on your lips rest.
I couldn’t imagine another thought,
as words were murmured low;
So much power in a first kiss,
the seed of real love that grows.
Cupids arrow had found its mark,
as years passed on I still confess;
That lovers fall in love so often
at the moment of their first kiss.
